FAQ & Troubleshooting:
Issue: DTF print is lifting off the garment and the transfer film does not release easily.
– Solution 1: Increase the temperature by 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Some heat presses may not provide accurate temperatures or even heat distribution.
– Solution 2: Increase the pressure to ensure proper contact with all areas of the bottom platen.
– Solution 3: Make sure the garment is completely cooled before peeling the transfer. The adhesive needs to be fully cooled to prevent sticking to the cold peel film.
Issue: DTF print shows watermarks after pressing.
– Solution 1: Check the DTF transfer before pressing. If it feels oily, slimy, or wet, cure the transfer by placing it under the heat press until the moisture evaporates. If available, a conveyor dryer can also be used.
– Solution 2: If you have already pressed the transfer to a garment, wipe the print with a clean cloth to remove moisture and press it again.
Issue: Small lines or details remain on the DTF film and do not transfer to the garment.
– Solution: Check the print on the film to ensure that the small details have white ink coverage. If they don’t, they will not transfer. Increase the sizes of the small details and reprint.
